If you haven’t noticed, you need a lot of ore in Palworld. If you want to continue surviving and upgrading your base, you will need to know the best Palworld ore farm methods or you will be stuck in the Stone Age wondering how to make ingots. Luckily, there is a great way to farm for ore in Palworld. If you do it right, you won’t even need to lift a finger. Unfortunately, you need to do some leveling up first.
Before you start farming ore, you should probably know how to catch Pals. You should also know about the kindling ability since it is needed to make ingots. Once you know both of these, you should be good to start farming ore. So what is the best Palworld ore farm?
Best way to farm ore in Palworld
To start farming ore in Palworld, follow these steps:
- Locate large ore veins
- Catch multiple Digtoise and Dumud
- Set up a base around the ore veins
- Let Distoise and Dumud go to town
As you can tell, farming for ore is actually quite easy in Palworld. Unfortunately, you cannot truly start farming until you unlock the Digtoise Headband. This requires you to be level 16. It also unlocks Digtoise’s partner skill allowing it to mine ore more quickly. Of course, this is not required and you can simply toss out some Digtoise in an area below level 16 to start farming earlier.
The trick to this farm is to have multiple of this Pal grinding away at the ore in an area while you relax. To accomplish this, go to one of the multiple ore mines around the map. One of the easiest to reach early in the game is near the Desolate Church fast travel point. Once you reach this point and have your Digtoise available, place a Palbox and summon all your Pals to start mining the ore.
Be sure to add a box nearby so you can store this ore or you can simply add a furnace and let a kindling Pal start making you some ingot. You will also want to have plenty of food since your Pals will need to eat.
Where to catch Digtoise and Dumud in Palworld
Of course, for this farming method, you will need Digtoise or Dumud. To catch these Pals, you will need to travel to the north of where you spawn.
Digtoise and Dumut are found in the desert to the north. This area is difficult to reach early on as it requires you to travel through a lot of hostile terrain. When you reach the desert, you will need to either wait for a period of time when you won’t be too hot or use heat-resistant gear. Digtoise and Bumut can be found all over the desert so you shouldn’t have trouble catching them. If you have them, be sure to bring Mega Spheres as both Pals are at least level 14.
