In any Assassin’s Creed game, the gear you collect is vital to your mission success. Using it properly to get out of an intense fight or sneak away undetected are common ways to get the full experience from these games. In AC Mirage, there is a new item that Basim can unlock that hasn’t been in the series before. What do talismans do in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?
What are talismans for in AC Mirage?
Unfortunately, any talisman you find in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is merely used for cosmetic purposes. They do not change the gameplay in any meaningful way. They are only there to dangle off the back of Basim’s left shoulder and give you a little knickknack to somewhat customize your version of the character.
Some talismans can be bought from traders, while others are gained from solving enigmas or killing Order members. After you have received one, just bring up your inventory screen and equip it from the Talisman menu. Only one can be equipped at a time.
Talismans in Assassin’s Creed Mirage essentially fill the same use as weapon charms in various multiplayer games. Some will use them and get a little enjoyment from having an item bobble around, while others will find them completely useless and ignore them. We tend to fall into the latter camp in this situation.
While a new layer of customization is always appreciated in games, very small cosmetic changes like this don’t move the needle enough for us to care about using them. That said, they keep popping up in games, so there must be an audience for these things. Regardless, there are a total of 16 talismans you can find in Assassin’s Creed Mirage if you want them.
