Star Wars Outlaws is the first time we are seeing the storied franchise be playable in a true open world setting. The game will be going against many conventions in the series in that aspect, but the main protagonist is a big change as well. Kay Vess is not a Jedi and has no presence with the force. She’s not the typical character you see as the lead in these games. Want to know about her voice actor? Here is who plays Kay Vess in Star Wars Outlaws.
Star Wars Outlaws: Kay Vess voice actor
The voice of Kay Vess in Star Wars Outlaws is Humberly González. While she doesn’t have a massive list of video game roles, she has a growing list of Ubisoft titles under her belt. Before Outlaws, she voiced various characters in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, and Starlink: Battle for Atlas. That sums up González’s entire career in video game voice acting, so she must have a good relationship with Ubisoft.
Outside of games, Humberly González lent her voice to some young children’s series: Clifford the Big Red Dog, Thomas & Friends, and Paw Patrol: The Movie. As for more adult-centered content, we couldn’t find anything that we recognized, but she appears in some series called Ginny & Georgia, Utopia Falls, In The Dark, and Workin’ Moms.
From what we have seen, Kay Vess is the first time Humerly González has such a major leading role. Being the lead of a Star Wars project of any size is a pretty big deal. Being the playable character in the first large open world game in the series is another thing entirely. Hopefully, Kay Vess and her companion Nix will capture everyone as much as Cal Kestis has in the recent Jedi games.
