According to our sources, Dead by Daylight is set to add Springtrap as part of its collaboration with Five Nights At Freddy’s this Friday at 9 AM PT. Not only that, but the game will also be adding a brand-new killer and survivor based on the community’s own design following a questionnaire soon.
Dead by Daylight adding Springtrap as part of Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration
Per our source, the FNAF collaboration will see Springtrap added to Dead by Daylight as a new playable killer. It appears there will not be any new survivors added alongside him (at least, none were mentioned to us), but the iconic Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria will be introduced as a new playable map. The base form of Springtrap that players buy will be the version from the games, while a legendary skin that features Matthew Lillard’s voice and likeness from the movie can be bought from the store as an additional purchase.
The Dead by Daylight collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s was revealed to be coming this summer last August, so it’s not surprising to get the reveal now with a release date likely sometime in June or July.
That’s not the only information we got about the future of Dead by Daylight, though. Our source added that after the FNAF collaboration, the community will have the rare opportunity to participate in what we believe is a “Choose Your Own Adventure” kind of questionnaire. The way that the community answers these questions will decide how a future killer and survivor will appear in the game.
Dead by Daylight is gearing up for a big celebration of its 10 year anniversary. Letting players have a big impact in a future killer and survivor is something completely new for them, plus you can add in what will easily be one of the biggest collaborations the game has ever had in Five Nights at Freddy’s.
