It has finally happened. After over a year of waiting, Rockstar Games has officially dropped the second trailer for GTA VI along with a ton of new information about characters and Vice City on the official website. For context, the original trailer for GTA VI was released on December 4, 2023. Since then, Rockstar has said very little, if anything, about the upcoming game. So little has been said that fans were losing their mind, coming up with crazy theories about when the second trailer could possibly drop. It turns out, Rockstar just wanted to take everyone by surprise.
Rockstar debuts GTA VI trailer two
Mum’s been the word for the longest time from Rockstar Games. Since the original trailer was dropped over a year ago, the devs have been mostly silent about the project. Some information was discovered during the Take-Two earnings call earlier this year that pointed to the game being released in 2025, but that has since been proven false.
Trailer two for GTA VI dropped early on May 6, 2025. The description of it reads, “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Rockstar adds more screenshots to GTA VI website
Along with the new trailer, Rockstar has revealed more information about GTA VI via the official website. The game will also include characters like Raul Bautista, the Real Dimez, Dre’quan Priest, and many more. Along with this, there are multiple locations that appear to be explorable in GTA VI. These include Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Ambrosia, and Port Cellhorn. This means that GTA VI could be much bigger than anyone anticipated, and it appears a large part of the state is able to be explored.
