Players are now discovering Disney Dreamlight Valley prices console dependent

Players are now discovering Disney Dreamlight Valley prices console dependent

Disney Dreamlight Valley has been under fire over the past few months due to the premium shop prices. While there are many great aspects of the game, players have lost faith in Gameloft thanks to the outrageously high Moonstone and premium shop prices.

If you haven’t heard, the prices of the premium shop compared to other games with cosmetic items are extremely overinflated. In some cases, even one item can cost upwards of $25 — nearly the same price you pay for the game if you purchase the standard edition. Now, players are discovering that they pay different prices depending on what console they have the game on.

A fan of the game on Reddit recently shared the revelation with a simple post that read “WTF?!” WTF is right. In their post, they revealed that the price of the 14,500 Moonstone Pack on Nintendo Switch is roughly $66 when converted from the Danish Krone. The same Moonstone Pack on the PS5 costs roughly $55. That is a difference of $11 for the same Moonstone Pack.

Moonstones are the in-game currency that Gameloft offers in Disney Dreamlight Valley that you can use to purchase the premium pass for the Star Pass. It is the same currency needed to purchase items from the premium shop.

The revelation has fans understandably angry with one comment reading “I have the game on 3 different consoles and all 3 are different prices for each, Switch is by far the most expensive!”

Another comment read “I feel like this is going to be some weird class action lawsuit eventually.” This certainly wouldn’t be a surprise. This isn’t the first time an in-game currency system was handled this poorly. Star Wars Battlefront II was famously labeled as a game that was “pay-to-win.”

If there is one thing that is clear after seeing this post, players should stay away from the Moonstone and premium stores in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
