In a bit of news that is not nearly common enough with how exorbitant in-game stores can be these days, the Disney Speedstorm shop is making a move to cut prices in its digital store. Starting tomorrow, alongside Season 5’s Frozen content, shop prices will be lessened, and anyone who made Founders Pack or Tokens purchases will be compensated with some season coins, season box credits, and character shards. As of this writing, we do not have the new prices that will go into effect on November 30.

Disney Speedstorm made the move to full release in recent months by going free-to-play, a move in opposition to Disney Dreamlight Valley, another Gameloft-developed game set to add its multiplayer soon. This racing game requires players to collect lots of character shards and various gear parts to upgrade their characters so they can perform better in various races. While you can earn these items by playing for free, it is a grind unless you open your wallet and purchase them.

The items that Gameloft is giving players who made any token purchases include:

  • 100,000 Season Coins
  • Five Season Box Credits
  • Five Racer Shards each for 10 different characters

Before the change to the store, players felt that the in-game prices for Tokens were a bit much. Prices can go up to $99.99, which is on par for a free game these days, but it is ridiculous when you consider that is more than a full-priced game. Tokens are very valuable for getting resources to unlock characters and make them better,

If you have not made an in-game store purchase in the Disney Speedstorm shop to this point, you can actually be eligible for the compensation pack with the cheapest purchase in the game of 200 Tokens for $2. We are not saying go out of your way to do this, as the cutoff for this compensation is November 30 at 4 AM ET. If you have made any purchases in the game before that, you will get the goodies listed above.
