Earlier this year, Bethesda shared a look at the next major update coming to the online Fallout game known as Fallout 76. By “shared a look” we mean that the company unveiled a fairly well-designed cartoon along with a catchy toon. This revealed that the next stop for eager vault dwellers is Atlantic City – home of gambling, drugs, and poor decision-making.
A while back, the developer added The Pitt, a fan-favorite location to the game. Bethesda wanted to change things up and go somewhere the games have never gone before. Now, thanks to a new trailer and additional information, we have an official release date for the Atlantic City update as well as information about the factions involved in the DLC’s story.
For starters, vault dwellers can expect to go to Atlantic City on December 5, 2023 – just in time for the holiday season. This is only a few months away so you better get your build together and start saving up your Caps for the slot machines. After all, you’re going to need them.
Netx up, we know about the factions you will be interacting with in the DLC. First up is the Municipal Government. This faction controls the power, food, and water along the boardwalk. People wouldn’t be able to eat, drink, or make bets without them. Next up is the Showmen. This faction is the most chaotic of the bunch and the ones that control the entertainment.
Finally, there is the Family. True to what you might think, this crime family has a hold on the city just as much as the other two factions. The DLC is going to be released in two waves. The first wave will have two expeditions for players to take on. The second release will have one more expedition as well as a handful of quests for the factions. There seems to be plenty of content coming in the near future so you best be prepared.
