When you imagine Fallout 5 setting, where do you think it will be? If your answer is Florida, you are in line with what most fans are asking for. This comes after Todd Howard shared a bit of information about the Fallout TV show and its relation to Fallout 5. Apparently, there is no relation because Todd Howard kept telling the creators of the TV show, “Don’t do this because we are going to do that in Fallout 5.”
Thanks to this recent comment, fans have begun speculating where the next game will take place when it is eventually released. We can all officially rule out Los Angeles because that is where the TV show is set. We can probably rule out the year 2296 as well since that is the year of the TV show. Turning to X, the official Game Pass Tracker page asked a simple question, “Where should Fallout 5 be set?” While many commented on other countries such as England, Iceland, and even Greenland, one comment popped up a lot; Florida.
We have seen past Fallout games set in Boston, Las Vegas, D.C., and West Virginia. Never have we seen the franchise move to a place full of intense heat, boggy swamps, and salty sea air. Many commented that Miami would be a solid choice for the series since it is a large city that is near the Everglades. This could provide a great setting that would help set Fallout 5 apart from its predecessors. One of the biggest threats in the area that you’d need to watch out for is gators.
Think of the lush tropical climate and how it would have been affected by the bombs. Unfortunately, we don’t think that Bethesda would bring the franchise there. This is because a fan of the series already thought of this idea and it comes in the form of a mod for Fallout 4 called Fallout Miami. Where do you want the Fallout series to go next?
