From the creators of the Achtung! Cthulhu TTRPG comes a brand-new adventure. The latest creation from Modiphius Entertainment allows players to fight cults against the backdrop of D-Day during World War II.
This new adventure requires Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 core books to run so players understand the rules and operations of the game. It’s available both in a PDF and print format and contains hundreds of pages of content. These include both historical and campaign-specific weapons and equipment, maps and handouts, and a creature glossary.
The campaign, titled D-Day: The Darkest Day, has the adventure divided into 12 missions separated into three main arcs. The first arc, the Pre-Invasion, is where player characters report for duty in France and have an excursion to the Channel Islands. The second arc, Down With the Deep Ones, has players journey under the water to battle alongside the children of Cthulhu in an alien undersea city. The final arc, The Darkest Day, has the evil Nachtwölfe organization and the Black Sun cult working to stop the D-Day invasion. These 12 missions can all be played as one-shots or as a continuous game.
It is the spring of 1944 and after five years labouring under the yoke of oppression, Europe yearns for liberation. A vast Allied army of personnel and machines is assembled on the south coast of Britain ready to launch the greatest sea and airborne invasion in history.
But the forces of the Axis occult, Black Sun and Nachtwölfe, are not ready to give up their ill-gotten gains so easily and lurk behind the mighty defences of the Atlantic Wall ready to sow terror and confusion to repel the invading Allies. The battle to liberate Europe from their occult menace is about to be joined! – Modiphius Entertainment press release
The TTRPG book is available right now as a PDF on DriveThru RPG for $21.50. It’s also available as a hardcover on Modiphius’ store for $51.90 that will be shipped out in July 2024.
A portion of all profits will be donated to D-Day veterans’ charities.
