A clan system is an idea that many have tossed out for Helldivers 2. A clan system would work perfectly with how the game is built, allowing players to build up their defense against the Automatons and Terminids. With another means of community interaction, fans of the game would have more of a reason to return and fight for managed democracy. Over the months since the game was released, we have seen a few leaks for the clan/battle station mechanic. Now, verified leaker Asunderknight has returned with another leak, this time showing animations for the battle station.
Possibility of a clan feature in Helldivers 2
The clan system has been teased for Helldivers 2 for some time now. Initially, it was shown off by leaker IronS1ights who revealed multiple file descriptions that read “kick from platoon, welcome to platoon,” and “join platoon.” To make things more interesting, verified leaker Asunderknight recently shared a video of the battle station that players might control as part of the clan/platoon system.
The video that Asunderknight shared on the Helldivers 2 leaks Reddit page, is only 12 seconds long but it shows three stages of the battle station build progress. The station starts off small and steadily gets longer as the video progresses. The ring in front of the station also gets more complete. Asunderknight also said that they “assume [the video] will play as a way to show our progress in its eventual construction.”
Many were quick to point out that the station does not look complete at the end of the video, stating that there is still plenty of scaffolding. We assume that the build progress will have four or five stages with stage four or five being the last stage of the build progress. One user also teased a platoon by saying, “Who’s starting a Justice League clan and calling it The Watchtower?” Are you ready to clan up when the time comes soldier?
