If you have been following Helldivers 2 since its launch, you are most likely aware of the monthly Warbond that Arrowhead introduces to the game. The first of these that launched with the game was Helldivers Mobilize. After that, we got Cutting Edge, Steeled Veterans, and Democratic Detonation. In May, we got the Polar Patriots Warbond which was met with some pretty poor reception from the fanbase.
With a commitment of one Warbond per month, Arrowhead Game Studios has a big order to fill each month if the devs want to keep the fanbase stocked with fresh weaponry and armor. This commitment has caused many fans to question whether or not Arrowhead should skip a Warbond. After all, the devs really dropped the ball with Polar Patriots. Despite the hiccup from last month, the next Warbond, which has yet to be announced, is on track.
Helldivers 2 community manager Twinbeard confirmed that the next Warbond is coming in the Helldivers 2 Discord server. When asked about the next Warbond, Twinbeard stated, “No new info there yet, and as long as there isn’t, it’s on track.” He also said players would be notified if this changes.
Each Warbond is released on the second Thursday of the month. If this trend continues with the next Warbond, it will be released on June 13, 2024. The Helldivers Leaks Reddit page has not offered any insight into what the next Warbond will be. Typically, this page reveals bits and pieces of the upcoming Warbonds a few days prior to their release so we can most likely expect a preview of the Warbond to go live within the next week leading up to the Warbond’s release.
While there is no information about the next Warbond, many have requested that it be centered around the Illuminate – the next faction that many are expecting to be added to the game. Many have stated that they would like to see more emotes as well as plasma weapons. We would personally like to see a black hole weapon inspired by the MO that destroyed Meridia.
