Helldivers 2 players can finally hit the ground of any planet they choose on the galactic map as the infinite drop-in glitch has been fixed. Arrowhead has been in the process of tackling small, manageable hotfixes and updates since the devs began their summer break at the start of July. Since then, smaller fixes have been released to tackle specific glitches and bugs. The latest Helldivers 2 patch is labelled 1.000.405, and it has officially fixed one of the game’s worst bugs; the infinite drop-in.
Recently, Helldivers 2 players discovered another bug that allows them to survive deadly falls simply by emoting. While this is not an intended feature in the game, Arrowhead CEO Jorjani wants to keep the glitch in the game as a feature due to how funny it is. Players lobbing themselves off of cliffs and emoting to save their lives has been a constant appearance across the Helldivers 2 Reddit page.
Arrowhead announced the new hotfix on the official Helldivers 2 X page and released the full patch notes on the game’s Steam page. The patch notes are very short and only cover the fix of the infinite drop-in glitch. No other bug or glitch was fixed with this patch. Most likely, we will see another patch next week that fixes other issues.
There is a list of bugs that Arrowhead is aware of such as friend codes not working, delays in medals and super credit payouts, issues with the ballistic shield, arc weapons behaving inconsistently, and a lot more. Despite the game’s many issues, players are still having a blast with it and will continue to do so even after all of the issues are ironed out. Hopefully, Arrowhead will focus on fixing more of the issues the game has. We, for one, would love to see the team fix the game’s social issues. These include not being able to join a game and being unable to send friend requests via the friend code.
