Palworld’s first raid, Bellanoir, is coming soon. The raid was announced this morning on the official Palworld X page alongside a short 40-second trailer. While there isn’t much to go on, the news is undoubtedly exciting for fans since they have been asking for new content. Instead of a new area such as the massive tree that many have tried to fly to, we are getting a raid along with a new Pal named Bellanoir.
There was no Paldeck entry added alongside this Pal but by the looks of it, we assume it would be a dark and fire-type combo Pal. We make this assumption thanks to its dark aesthetic and flames. The addition of the fire raining from the sky is a nice touch as well.
The special announcement came on the official Palworld X page where developer PocketPair has been posting various Paldeck entries since the game’s release back in January. With almost a two-month gap, between the release and the announcement, many commented on the post congratulating the team. Of course, as with other Pals in the game, some were quick to point out the similarity of this Pal to a specific Pokémon. The Pokémon is Shiny Gardevoir.
PocketPair has been under fire by many for recreating Pokémon designs. While this has not affected the game so far it doesn’t look well for Palworld’s first raid to have another Pokémon-looking Pal. After looking at the two designs, we can say that we see a similarity but it is not as close as some of the other Pals in the game. This is one of the more unique-looking pals we have seen but it does share a slight resemblance to that of Mega Gardevoir.
Potential scandal aside, fans are grateful to be getting a new raid in Palworld. While there has been no release date announced for the update, we assume that it will come by the end of the month. Keep your eyes open for another announcement when it drops.
