Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was released earlier this year to many mixed reviews. There were many who enjoyed the game’s fast-paced combat and characters but many complained about the lack of enemies, dull story, and repetitive missions. With that being said, we knew it would only be a matter of time before a sale happened. In a foreboding sign, however, the Suicide Squad deluxe edition is now cheaper than the standard. At least, it is on PlayStation.

Taking one look at the PlayStation digital storefront, you will quickly notice that something is a bit off. The digital deluxe edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a mere $60 while the standard edition is still at the market price of $70. That makes the Suicide Squad deluxe edition $10 cheaper than the standard. If we could put emojis in articles we would be wincing at that right now.

If you had an interest in purchasing the game before, there won’t be a better time to pick it up than right now with the deluxe edition being roughly $40 less than it was at launch. This price drop comes after Rocksteady Studios’ parent company Warner Bros. admitted that the game “fell short of expectations.” With the game’s first season looming over the horizon, this isn’t a good sign. Good games typically don’t get a decent sale for a long time after their release date. We could see the downfall of this live-action looter shooter before it can even kick off a second season. Of course, that all depends on how well the first season goes for everyone.

The reviews for Suicide Squad are still mixed as many have stated that the game isn’t what they expected. Some have even questioned how Batman is alive in the game due to how Arkham Knight ended. No matter how you view it, this could be a bad sign but we will just need to wait and see.
