PowerWash Simulator 2 has finally revealed its release date, and much like another high-profile indie game, it is only two weeks away. The game is set to launch on October 23 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X. The trailer below outlines some of the new features in the game, including decorating the Powerwash headquarters, cleaning with new attachments, and petting a couple of kitties while on the job.

Will PowerWash Simulator 2 Have the Same Appeal as the Original?

While the original game was published by Square Enix, PowerWash Simulator 2 is self-published, following a long run of successful crossover maps in that first game. While there have not yet been any announcements for the future of DLC, the first game had crossovers with the likes of SpongeBob Squarepants, Final Fantasy VII, Tomb Raider, and Back to the Future.

As you might expect in the lead-up to release, the focus is on the original content here. The new attachments, which the trailer notes give the same experience with a new skin, might not change things enough, but what most people want from the game is just more levels. It’s a unique experience that no other game can really claim.

Typically, we are not the kind of players to get sucked into a simulator game. They tend to be quite boring and don’t offer enough to truly enjoy. PowerWash Simulator is an obvious exception to the norm. At the end of the day, all you are doing is spraying water at a bunch of grime, but it’s oddly satisfying to clean the area and see your progress afterwards. It’s a calming experience that we love to have while also listening to a podcast.
