Randy Pitchford has a habit of getting online a bit too much, playing tech support, and then saying some things he probably wishes he hadn’t to the fanbase. Many remember when he told the community that “real fans” would find a way to get the game. There are plenty of other instances in which he also received considerable backlash. Lately, the social media-addicted CEO told Borderlands 4 fans to “Game that sh*t,” even though a bug prevents players from doing so. Something he might know if he paid attention to the community in the way he pretends to.
Borderlands 4 CEO Discovers Players Can’t “Game that sh*t”
Borderlands 4 has had constant problems since it was released back in early September, with many fans reaching out about stuttering, glitches, crashes, and countless other issues. We have even discovered many problems playing online co-op, such as enemies falling through the floor, skill points disappearing, and more.
If you have managed to get through the game and reached the endgame, you probably know about Maurice’s Black Market. This weekly event allows you to purchase guaranteed legendary items from a vending machine hidden somewhere around Kairos. You can also use this machine in your friends’ games to collect different legendary rolls. Well, you could, until a bug popped up that prevents players from using the Black Market Machine.
Some fans on X recently discovered that each player gets different rolls in their respective game when it comes to the Black Market. While one person may have the Oscar Mike, another may have Birt’s Bees. This promotes sharing in the community, allowing others to come into your game to use your machine and get whatever loot you have in it.
Said users asked Pitchford to make changes to the Black Market, allowing more items to appear in the machine. To do, Pitchford responded, “Bro – get in a group of people who post their rolls every week and jump into each other’s games to get the gear you want. Game that shit!”
Unfortunately, Randy needed to be told that Borderlands 4 has problems. Thankfully, he didn’t lash out like normal when told by user Gothalion, “Sadly, there’s a bug some folks are experiencing that locks them out of machines in multiplayer. Haven’t tested myself, but have seen several people in chat report it.”
To this, Pitchford simply responded, “Well, shit.” We think it is safe to say this might be the first time he is hearing about this issue. Now that it has his attention, maybe this bug will get fixed soon. We can only hope.
