Studio Wildcard continues the strong rollout of three monumental creatures for survivors to encounter in ARK: Survival Ascended. This deadly trio includes the Gargantar Dragon in ARK: Dragontopia, the three-headed Cerberax in Fantastic Tames Season 1, and the community-voted Therizinosaurs TLC update.
That’s One Big Dragon
For those who currently own the ARK: Dragontopia expansion, the skies above you just got even more deadly with the arrival of the Gargantar. This dragon has a bottomless appetite that fuels its tank-like strength. The more Gargantar eats, the tougher it becomes to take down, which turns this bottomless pit into a very formidable opponent on the battlefield.
The Gargantar also possesses the ability to vomit and spit acidic waste on enemies, essentially turning whatever this dragon swallows into a deadly weapon. Its gullet also serves as a haven for allies, as they can tuck themselves away within it. Unfortunately, any foes you swallow will not have the same luxury.
Three Heads Are Better than One
The Cerberax follows the Burrowbuck as the latest addition for ARK: Fantastic Tames Season 1. To tame this legendary beast, survivors must win over each of the three heads separately. One head may want to wrestle, another may want food, and the third may want to join you on a hunt.
Once tamed, any survivor can hop on for a ride with each of its three heads working independently from one another. The right head breathes fire, the left spits venom, and the center acts as a lightning catalyst that amplifies the other two heads for even more devastating attack combos.
Murder Chicken Inbound
Last but certainly not least, the Therizinosaurs were selected by the ARK community at large for a TLC update. In the past, this long-clawed creature served the community well as a dual-threat resource gatherer and combat specialist. At first glance, each Therizino reveals its harvesting specialization through dynamic claws that evolve based on what type of resource they gather. For example, one may boast delicate foraging claws that are longer and sharper, while worn and chopped claws signal a combat focus.
It Always Comes in Threes
The introduction of the Gargantar Dragon, Cerberus, and the Therizino TLC update will keep all survivors on their toes next time they choose to explore the world around them. By offering a wide range of new tames for survivors to encounter and listening to community feedback on certain tames, Studio Wildcard continues to show the ARK community that there are no signs of stopping the expansion of the various worlds within ARK: Survival Ascended.
