Angry Birds’ Red celebrates Sega acquisition by playing Smash or Pass on TikTok

Earlier this week it was announced that Sega was in the process of acquiring Rovio, a mobile game developer known for the Angry Birds franchise. We’ve all accepted that, but it seems Red, the main star of the series, decided to celebrate the occasion by playing some Smash or Pass on the official Angry Birds TikTok.

In the since-deleted video, Red went through various video game characters, letting the audience know which ones were early bird enough to get the worm, so to speak. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), you can view the video in the tweet below.

Now, we’re not going to sit here and judge a fictional bird character for what gets their rocks off, but at the very least, they were very quick to “pass” on the kid characters of Pit and Red from the Pokémon series. We should note that he has no interest in Tracer from Overwatch or Link from The Legend of Zelda, either. He was okay with Zelda herself and Bayonetta, as well as being all over Steve from Minecraft. He likes angles, apparently.

As noted above, the Angry Birds TikTok account no longer shows the Smash or Pass video, so obviously, someone within the company was not a fan of the social media team putting that video out or the reception it was getting. This all really makes us wonder, though, what other TikTok challenges Red is willing to do. When do we get to see him break out into dance? Depending on whether or not the person that made this video still has a job, we will see.
