While at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Studio Wildcard launched ARK: Astraeos ‘Heaven & Abyss ’, which is the massive update that will complete the Greek mythology-inspired adventure. With a map that spans more than 264-square kilometers, players will have more than enough land to explore as they encounter ancient temples, mythological landscapes, and trails that will force players to prove their worth to the gods.
From the Heavens Above
The Heaven & Abyss update was created in partnership with Nitrado and the popular ARK modder Nekatus. Key features of this update include lands that range from the bright, lush realm full of open flower fields like Helianthos to the fog-shrouded deep-sea expanse in Abyssanthos. And if you are brave enough, you may test your might against the mighty Kraken that you can battle beneath the waves or on the ocean surface.
Brand new adventures were also added across ARK: Ascended outside of Astraeos with this major update. The Concavenator are a ruthless pack of hunters that turns the desert into a lethal playground as they swim beneath the dunes to ambush their prey. Players who have the Tides of Fortune update will also gain access to the extensive battle fortress in the galleon ship. Lastly, as part of the Tides of Fortune update, Land outposts will be scoured across coastal shores. Players will be able to battle the defending rogues and plunder their buried treasure.
