Do you want to be a Chicken Chaser in Baldur’s Gate 3? This goblin sport is fun for the whole family. That is if your family is a sniveling pack of goblins that gets joy out of watching an animal get chased around a pen. If you want to get the Owlbear Cub companion to come back to your camp, you need to win Chicken Chasing at least once.

There is an art to completing Chicken Chase in Baldur’s Gate 3. You only have a certain amount of time to get the “chicken” into the goal. If you don’t manage to do it in time, you will lose all the gold you bet. This guide will show you how to win at Chicken Chasing in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to be a Chicken Chaser in Baldur’s Gate 3

Once you reach the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3, turn to the West and find a goblin named Krolla. She will be standing next to the Owlbear Cub. Speak to her and she will tell you about Chicken Chase. The rules are simple:

  • Chase the “chicken” around the fences
  • Get the “chicken” to run through the goal within 10 turns
  • No allies are allowed to help you

Pretty much anything goes in Chicken Chaser, making it more of an amusing game. The first time you play, you can complete the game normally, or you can use animal handling on the Owlbear Cub to get it to run straight to the goal. Keep in mind the checks are pretty difficult so you should make sure to save before attempting them.

To complete Chicken Chaser the normal way, chase the Owlbear Cub close to the goal. After it is close to the goal, use your strength to block its path by tossing crates and barrels into the pathways. You can move the various objects in the course to block different pathways. If you do it well enough, the Owlbear Cub will run straight to the goal.

Be careful with this method. If the Owlbear goes behind a barrier you created, it can be difficult to get it to go back. However, this will lure the Owlbear to the goal pretty easily. Watch out for the objects that the goblins will throw. If you do too well, they will throw grease to slow your progress.
