All eyes are on Battlefield 6, as EA is poised to bring the series back in a big way. Earlier, it was reported that EA is “all in” on Battlefield 6 and has even delayed multiple projects to get more hands working on the next game in the series. With the game officially revealed, the next big question is, “When is the open beta?” Well, if you are eager to jump into the game and see how it plays, there is some good news. According to sources, the Battlefield 6 open beta will be starting in August.
Battlefield 6 Open Beta Starting Soon
According to a post by Insider Gaming, “the Battlefield 6 Beta will have two betas in the month of August, which will be an open and closed beta.” According to Insider Gaming, August 7th-8th will be the closed beta. Sources are saying that the beta will then switch to being an open beta for August 9th-10th.
This isn’t the only open beta that is said to be taking place in August, as a second open beta for Battlefield 6 will apparently take place from August 14th-17th. There has been no mention of whether or not the battle royale mode will be playable during the open or closed betas, but we assume that it will be part of a separate beta test.
If you want to get access to the closed beta, keep an eye on Twitch, as it has been stated that codes will be obtainable from watching Twitch streamers who are streaming the multiplayer reveal. This has not been confirmed, but keep an eye out in case.
According to sources, the game will also be available for pre-order during the closed beta on August 9th, allowing players to secure their copy of the game early. Battlefield 6 is set to be released on October 10, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
