Fantastic Tames Season 1 Available Today For ARK: Survival Ascended

Studio Wildcard just revealed via a new trailer that ARK: Survival Ascended is getting an all-new premium creator pack today titled Fantastic Tames Season One. This pack will introduce a plethora of new ways for survivors to dominate the battlefield, outwit their rivals, and adapt to the ever-changing threats they may encounter in their adventures.

Fantastic Beasts

Season one of Fantastic Tames will see three new creatures added to Ark that were forged directly from ARK’s most mystical anomalies. The Burrowbuck is the first of these creatures that are available right now. This mad rabbit can be likened to a swift yet elusive tame that can create underground burrows where players can build bases within. Having the ability to jump and ambush your enemies, the Burrowbuck is perfectly fitted for guerrilla warfare.

The Cerberax (arriving Q3 2026) is a towering three-headed beast that is specifically designed for coordinated multi-rider combat. Each head delivers devastating elemental attacks that can be chained together for one destructive combination attack.

Lastly, the Enigmasaur (arriving Q3 2026) is a mysterious shape-shifting entity that is capable of mimicking nearby creatures. Not only that, but it can steal their unique abilities, allowing survivors to adapt to nearly any situation through deception and disguise.

Launching alongside the Burrowbuck today, Ark’s favorite spider, the Araneo, is getting a TLC update. This free creature enhancement was voted into development by the ARK community during the Extra Life 2025 charity stream. The reworked Araneo is now a very versatile tactical mount that features updated hunting mechanics and tactical web abilities that will swing it into a category of its own. It goes from a lonely eight-legged mount that skitters at ground level to a dangerous ambush-style predator seemingly overnight. Using its weblines to traverse elevated terrains, then dropping down from above to wrap up unsuspecting prey, the Araneo can subdue any foe with its venomous bite and disappear without a trace.

A Fantastic Addition

It’s very astonishing to see the rate at which new yet (no pun intended) fantastic creatures are coming to ARK: Survival Ascended. Fantastic Tames Season one appears to be just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Studio Wildcard intends to do within the world of ARK, and fans are without a doubt eager to see what comes next. If you want to hop into the madness, Fantastic Tames Season 1 is available today for $9.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Games Store, and Steam PC.
