ALZARA Radiant Echoes is an upcoming 3D turn-based JRPG that is quickly surpassing all of its stretch goals on Kickstarter. With an initial goal of $108,067, the game has shot well passed it and is skyrocketing even higher. It’s no wonder with many of the developers having worked on some of gaming’s most renowned franchises including Ghost Recon and Dead Cells.
ALZARA Radiant Echoes is set in a fantasy Mediterranean world. You control a group of four characters, each with their own backstory, unique element, and archetypes. Kayla uses fire and fights with her blade, Adil is a diplomatic fashionista who utilizes air to fight, Hugust is the tank and uses a shield and the element of earth, and Nakheel uses a giant axe and the power of water in battle. It’s a blend of Final Fantasy as well in both combat style and exploration.

Like Golden Sun, the characters use their chosen elements to fight and protect the other members of the party. You’ll be able to summon Legends, like Djinn, to fight with you as well. Combat works by having you switch between your characters to fight enemies. You’ll be able to choose between physical or spell attacks and combine your element with another character to create more powerful attacks.
The game’s Kickstarter will end on Friday June 14. As it stands, nearly all of the stretch goals are unlocked. The one remaining is a studio soundtrack recording with Motoi Sakuraba.
I’ve been following the game for sometime and when I found out it was inspired by Golden Sun, I was hooked. Not only is it pulling inspiration from the games developed by Camelot Software Planning, Sakuraba is composing the music for ALZARA Radiant Echoes. Sakuraba also worked on Dark Souls.
If the character art style looks familiar, well, it’s because Yoshiro Ambe, artist for Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Trials of Mana, is on the team.
Other stretch goals included voice acting, an in-game codex, Ambe drawing the art of the main four characters, and a New Game + option.
ALZARA Radiant Echoes is scheduled to release on PC and consoles in 2026. It is being developed and published by Studio Camelia.
