How to Pickpocket Effectively in AC Mirage
If you want to pickpocket a target, you will first need to activate Eagle Vision. To do this, press left on the D-Pad if you are on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 5. If you are on PC, press the V key.
While Eagle Vision is active, walk up to an NPC. If they have something you can pickpocket, you will see a bag hanging from their belt or waist. This will be highlighted to make it easy to spot.
When you get close to your target, you will see a button prompt appear to pickpocket them. This is the Triangle button on PlayStation, the Y button on Xbox, or the E key on PC.
After pressing this button, you will see a blue diamond symbol appear. A white diamond will also appear and move into the blue diamond. Press the pickpocket button a second time when the white diamond matches up with the blue diamond. This will allow you to successfully pickpocket the target. Later on, this will become more difficult so make sure that you practice it early on so that you can get good at it for later in the game.
