There are plenty of characters to unlock in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Thanks to the Rift in Time expansion, there are even more for you to find. In total, Eternity Isle has three characters for you to unlock; EVE, Rapunzel, and Gaston. Of course, none of these characters are available right away.
If you want to unlock Gaston, you will need to progress through the Eternity Isle storyline and complete a quest titled The Wanderer of the Dunes. This is similar to the method required to unlock Rapunzel in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This guide will show you how to unlock Gaston in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley – How to unlock Gaston
To unlock Gaston in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to complete The Wanderer of the Dunes quest. This quest becomes available after you complete the Flying Metal Nuisance quest and get the Royal Hourglass. Below, were break down where you can find Gaston in Eternity Isle and how to complete his introductory quest.
Disney Dreamlight Valley – Gaston location
Gaston, like Rapunzel is hidden in a different part of Eternity Isle. Specifically, Gaston can be found in The Plains section of the Glittering Dunes Biome.
This area is unlocked after opening the bridge connected to The Courtyard section of Ancient’s Landing. Cross the bridge and follow the path to the left. Once you reach the Glittering Dunes, go to the back corner near the quicksand. Here, you will find Gaston.
Disney Dreamlight Valley – The Wanderer of the Dunes Quest Guide
Talk to Gaston to start The Wanderer of the Dunes quest. You will be tasked with finding three items:
- Green Spiky-Leafed Plants
- Flexing Spider-like Thing
- Sweet Brown Raisin Things
The first item is Agave which is found in The Plains, the second item is a Scorpion which is found by fishing in the quicksand, and the final item is Dates which are found on trees in The Plains.
Once you have all the items, bring them to Gaston. After the talk, follow Gaston to his hideout which is a small tent in the back of The Plains. Have another talk with Gaston and then search around his camp for Clues to the Vault Key’s Whereabouts. The clues are in the following locations:
- Homemade Glue inside the chest
- Paint Palette on the crates
- Coconuts by the barrels
Give these items to Gaston. You will now need to unlock The Wastes section of the Glittering Dunes. This will cost you 4,000 Mist. With the way to the Wastes open, talk to Gaston near the wrecked ship.
After the conversation, go fishing in the quicksand next to Gaston to catch a LeFou Doll. Show this item to Gaston. Head back to the plains and use your Royal Hourglass to locate the Desert Scarab Piece. Afterward, talk to Jafar at a hologram station and then head back to Gaston. One more brief conversation and the quest is complete. Gaston is now unlocked.
