In each of the areas you visit, you will need to wrangle a Chocobo so you can travel the region without needing to go everywhere on foot. After leaving the Mythril Mines, you probably want to know how to catch the Chocobo in Junon. This is much easier said than done since there’s a large group of Chocobos on the lookout for you.

There’s plenty more in the Junon area such as the Pheonix Summon if you do some searching. You will also want to be on the lookout for some Moogle Medals in the area. This guide will show you how to catch the Chocobo in Junon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How to get the Junon Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Before you can get the Chocobo, you need to find it on the map. To do this, talk to Gabe down at Gabe’s Ranch. He will reveal that the Chocobo named Belle ran off and reveal the location on the map. You can also have this location revealed by climbing the Remnawave tower near the entrance to Under Junon. Head to the location that gets marked on your map to start the minigame where you must tame the Chocobo.

Start off the minigame by flipping the switch to your right to move the cart. Follow this cart along as you avoid the first Chocobo in the area. When it reaches the end, you will see a group of rocks that you can pick up. Flip the switch to the right of the rocks and wait for the cart to come up the hill, blocking the Chocobo’s line of sight. Afterward, use a rock to hit the switch from a distance and get the cart moving so you can get closer to Belle.

Once you reach the end of that track, get behind the next cart in the area. You will need to throw a rock once more to get this cart moving. When it starts up, it will move counter-clockwise so you will need to follow this cart around the entire track as it makes its way next to Belle.

When the cart finally swings around to where Belle is, sneak up behind her and interact with the Chocobo to tame it. You will get some Golden Plumes for this and now have a Chocobo with the ability to climb rock walls.
