A big part of The Sims 4 is the various careers your sim can experience. You can play as anything from a detective or astronaut — starting at the desks but then eventually making your way to the police chief’s seat or even space. All your sim has to do is fulfill their daily tasks to advance their career. Sometimes these tasks are simple, like leveling up one’s painting skill. However, other daily tasks are less intuitive. One of the most infamous is the Business career’s reports. So, how do you fill out reports in The Sims 4?
Where are reports in The Sims 4?
When you enter the Business career, the first task your job gives you is filling out reports. To do this, you must first own a computer or go to an in-game location where you can use a computer (like one of the many in-game libraries). Once on the computer, look at the several different prompts it gives you and click on More Choices. From there, choose Web. This will take you to 7+ prompts. You should click on Fill Out Reports with the briefcase icon next to it. This will make your sim start filling out their work reports. This entire task will take your sim about 2 hours. Once it’s done, this will help advance your sim’s career progress the next time they go to work.

When do you have to fill out reports in The Sims 4?
Filling out reports is exclusive to the Business career. This action is included in all six levels of the career, so it’s not just grunt work. Other jobs have similar tasks (for example, the “Gather Information” task for secret agents can be found in the same spot) but none of them have the same prompt as “Fill Out Reports”.
Similarly, if you have the Discover University pack, your sim can now be a teacher. Your teacher sim will have report cards and lesson plans to work on, but while these tasks are phrased similarly, they will not be on the computer. You will instead use a workbook found in your inventory, much like child/teen homework.
