When is the next The Sims 4 sale?

One of the biggest obstacles to being a The Sims 4 fan is the price of buying each and every expansion pack and add-on. If you bought every single one at full cost it comes out to nearly $1,000. So, Sim fans have to be smart about buying their favorite game packs. Some of The Sims 4 players have turned to always buying new expansion packs on sale, but the complicated part of that is knowing when those sales might happen.

When will The Sims 4 expansions be on sale?

Unfortunately, EA’s video game platform, Origin, does not announce sales before they happen. It’s company policy to keep sale seasons under wraps until the day they begin. If you check Origin often, you also might discover random sales that you can capitalize on. However, if you aren’t opening the application all the time, you’ll miss out. It rewards players who use Origin frequently but is quite unforgiving for more casual EA fans.

If you don’t want to wait for an unknown sale date, there are other places where you can buy The Sims 4, such as Steam. Unlike EA’s Origin, Valve’s Steam platform has pretty defined sale dates. For example, Steam’s upcoming Summer Sale is upcoming and will take place from June 29 to July 13. When you need to be gentle with your wallet, buying your The Sims 4 DLC from Steam isn’t a bad option.

What time of year do The Sims 4 sales happen?

While EA’s Origin doesn’t have definitive sale dates, the site is known for having sales during big holidays (particularly US-Centric). Keep an eye out for the 4th of July, Halloween, and Winter Holiday sales. These will be your best options when looking for discounted The Sims 4 titles. In particular, their Winter sale is one of their most consistent. So, if you’re looking to gift yourself or a friend within The Sims 4 expansions, you’ll likely be able to get a pretty good deal.

Where can you buy The Sims 4 Bundles?

When hardcore Simmers search for a good deal, they famously prefer EA’s beloved The Sims 4 bundles. For years, EA has offered these bundles where you can put together an expansion pack, game pack, and stuff pack all for a reasonable price of $50. Considering an expansion pack alone typically costs $40, it’s actually quite the steal.

In the past, fans used to build their own bundles during sale periods and mix and match their favorite The Sims 4 add-ons. However, nowadays there are only a handful of bundles offered at any time: Decorator’s Dream, Everyday Essentials, and Pet Lovers. These bundles include:

  • Decorator’s Dream: Cottage Living expansion pack, Dream Home Decorator game pack, and Tiny Living stuff pack
  • Everyday Essentials: Seasons expansion pack, Parenthood game pack, and Laundry Day stuff pack
  • Pet Lovers: Cats & Dogs expansion pack, Parenthood game pack, and My First Pet stuff pack

As you can tell, the options for The Sims 4 bundles are much more limited than they used to be. Check out Origin’s sales periods to see if you can discover new mixed-and-matched sets or perhaps even the rare, long-missed “Build your own Bundle” option.
