With new game plus being a very popular addition in games nowadays, it is pretty common to wonder if the next game on the shelf will have a post-game. This feature isn’t just common in games, it is very common in open-world games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
There is no denying that Tears of the Kingdom is filled with content such as shrines, Koroks, and countless ways to manipulate the environment. With all of the content in the game, is there also a post-game in Tears of the Kingdom?
Does Tears of the Kingdom have a new game plus?
You have explored Hyrule, mastered the way of the Ultrahand, learned the story behind Zelda, and are getting ready to defeat Demon King Ganon. Before making the trek to Hyrule Castle, you may want to know whether or not you will have a post-game to clear when it is all over.
Unfortunately, Tears of the Kingdom does not have a new game plus. That doesn’t mean there is no post-game content whatsoever. This just means that you won’t have new content to explore after beating the game.
The post-game content in Tears of the Kingdom boils down to doing more of what you did throughout the game. There are 1,000 Korok Seeds and over 100 Shrines to discover as you explore the game. After beating the game, you will still need to track down the rest of this content that you haven’t already picked up.
Going forward, Tears of the Kingdom may be getting DLC. This has not been confirmed by Nintendo but since Breath of the Wild received DLC, it seems pretty likely that the sequel will as well. This has not stopped fans of the game from creating their own wishlist for the DLC.
