Do you want to alter your weapons in Lies of P? This Soulslike game offers something unique – the ability to customize the parts of your weapons. A weapon is constructed of a blade and a handle. Changing the weapon’s handle will allow you to customize its stats and scaling, something that helps set Lies of P apart from other games in the genre.
You don’t start the game with the ability to customize weapons but it is quickly unlocked by progressing through the game’s story. Soon, you will find that you can alter your weapons at will. Here is how to change handles in Lies of P.
How to assemble weapons in Lies of P
There are two ways to assemble weapons in Lies of P; by going to a Stargazer or by talking by Eugenie. Doing either requires you to get the Enigma Assembly Tool. This item isn’t extremely easy to obtain as it requires you to defeat a boss. You must defeat the Mad Donkey on the bridge to get the tool.
With the tool unlocked, you can go back to Hotel Krat and use the Stargazer or Eugenie to assemble weapons or change your weapon’s handle. Follow these steps to assemble weapons in Lies of P:
- Go to a Stargazer or Eugenie
- Select the Assemble Weapons option
- Select the weapon you want to modify or the new weapon assemble option
- Choose which handle and blade you wish to use
- Confirm your selection by pressing the Square button on PlayStation or the X button on Xbox
As you can see, changing a weapon’s handle is very simple. Keep in mind that changing a weapon’s handle will alter what stats it scales off of. Know which stats are best for you before performing this.
How to alter or modify a handle in Lies of P
If you would rather alter or modify an existing handle, visit Eugenie in Hotel Krat. Once there, Follow these steps:
- Select the alter handle option
- Select which stat type you want to raise on the handle you have selected
- Spend the correct type of Crank
- Confirm your selection
- Leave
As with weapon assembly, this will alter your weapon’s stats so you will want to make sure you know what you are doing. Pay attention to the changes that will be applied. Each type of upgrade requires a specific type of Crank. For instance, a Motivity upgrade requires a Motivity Crank.
