Remnant 2 is coming and fans of the first game are excited. Remnant From the Ashes took the world by storm and was quickly labeled as “Dark Souls with guns.” Now, the sequel will soon be upon us and it is looking to improve on everything that the first game offered.
Gunfire Games has been marketing Remnant 2 for some time now, showing off plenty of features along with the game’s new archetypes. Like its predecessor, the game will feature three-player co-op so you can play through the action-fueled monster shooter with your friends. Considering many games nowadays also have crossplay, will Remnant 2 be crossplay compatible?
Will Remnant 2 have crossplay?
Currently, there has been no word from the developers about whether or not Remnant 2 will feature crossplay or cross-platform compatibility at launch. So far, there has only been information about in-game features like co-op, weapons, and archetypes. Because of this, we can assume that Remnant 2 will not be crossplay compatible, though nothing has been confirmed.
There is a chance that Remnant 2 could feature crossplay. After all, its predecessor, Remnant From the Ashes, features crossplay compatibility between PC and Xbox. It also featured crossplay between previous and next-gen consoles. Friends just couldn’t play online between Xbox and PlayStation.
Remnant 2 will expand the world and story of the original. Many features from the original game will appear in Remnany 2. Outside of co-op, we can expect to see thrilling boss fights, over-the-top weapons, and high-octane action.
Given that there are more and more games releasing with crossplay features, Remnany 2 could have these features but don’t have too much faith in it. We will update this page if more information is released about the crossplay compatibility of Remnant 2. Hopefully, there will be a change in the future but that is up to the team at Gunfire Games to decide.
