Every so often, Teamifight Tactics (TFT) switches up the gameplay by replacing old items with new ones. In Set 9.5, players will get one of the largest changes in a while — six items have been removed in favor of a whole new collection. One of the most notable is Nashor’s Tooth, replacing ZZ’Rot Portal and giving fast-attacking units a new useful weapon. But how does Nashor’s Tooth work?
What are the uses for Nashor’s Tooth?
Nashor’s Tooth is an effective item for attack speed units that also need ability power — think a Miss Fortune or Kai’Sa. They shoot fast but also have powerful Abilities that can decimate enemy health bars.
To make Nashor’s Tooth, combine a Recurve Bow and a Giant’s Belt. This item will now give your unit 30 Ability Power, 10% Attack Speed, and 150 Health. Its special trait is that after casting a spell, your unit gains 40% Attack Speed for five seconds.
Are there other new items in TFT Set 9.5?
Yes, TFT Set 9.5 brings us a total of six new items. The items removed from the game include Chalice of Power, Locket of the Iron Solari, Shroud of Stillness, Zeke’s Herald, Zephyr, and ZZ’Rot Portal. Riot Games has replaced them with Adaptive Helm, Crownguard, Night Harvester, Sterak’s Gage, Evenshroud, and Nashor’s Tooth, respectively.
So, no more horrific back-line hordes of champions with Zeke’s Herald or Zephyrs to make ungodly Attack Speed situations or toss half the enemy team in the air. Instead, beware of new, powerful Attack Speed/Ability Power combos or huge shield/tanking buffs.
