To get through Modern Warfare 3 Zombies’ story missions, you will have to do a lot of various tasks in your numerous runs. Completing these challenges gets you to the next run, where you can see more of what the mode has to offer. One of these story missions tells you to get kills with toxic damage, but nowhere else do you see anything that references that type. What is toxic damage in MW3 Zombies?

How to get toxic damage kills in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

There are two ways to get toxic damage kills in MW3 Zombies. The first is to use Brain Rot on your weapon. This makes your bullets deal the toxic damage type while also giving a chance to turn an enemy zombie into an ally temporarily. They will then chase nearby enemies down and attack them until they die after a short time.

Your second toxic damage option is the Experimental Gas tactical equipment. These can be randomly found around the map in random loot caches, or you can equip it before the game starts if you’ve unlocked it. We would highly recommend using the Brain Rot Ammo Mod over the Experimental Gas.

Brain Rot, like the other ammo mods, is a rare item that you can find in various spots. It can appear in Reward Rifts and random loot caches. If you see a chest with purple Aether Crystals sticking out of it, there are better chances for items like an ammo mod to be inside. These can appear in any tier zone, so there’s a decent chance to find them in the easiest areas as you complete various contracts. Once you find a Brain Rot, put it on your favorite gun and fire away at any zombies stumbling in your path.
