For the most part, Cocoon is a pretty straightforward game. You will mostly follow a linear path as you complete various puzzles, but there are a few side paths you can take to earn yourself some achievements. These Moon Ancestors can sometimes be difficult to find and easy to pass by. Here is the location of every Moon Ancestor in Cocoon.

You will find a percentage point value for each of the 11 Moon Ancestors in Cocoon below. If you have missed any of these, just pause your game, go to Load, and set the game to this percentage to have the quickest route to that Moon Ancestor.

Grab the ball to be lifted up the mountain. As you move forward, there is a semi-hidden path to the left for the first of the Moon Ancestors.

When you load into this area, get a drone and return to the main area. Pick up the green orb and go through the teleporter. Swap the green orb with the orange orb and jump into the green orb. While carrying the orange orb, move east to get a lift to move and find an invisible bridge to walk across. Near the other side, there is a hidden path to the left.

Move north through the newly opened door to find an invisible bridge you can adjust by pressing the nearby plate. If you turn it so you can walk north, you will move forward. Turn it to walk south to find a path to the Moon Ancestor.

When you arrive here, go to the phase block on the left and ride it so you are transported to an area below.

Press the plate and you will be transported to a new area where the orange and green orb will fly away from each other. Head to the right to find the orange orb and take further east. Drop it into a funnel to take it to an area where you can give it some robotic legs. After creating a bridge for it to reach you, head south to find a path to a new Moon Ancestor. Make the orange globe stand on one of the plates and grab it so the legs stay there. Go to the other one to reveal the area to unlock the creature.

Immediately after launching the green and orange orb forward so they create a bridge for you, hug the path to the right to find one of the more easily missed Moon Ancestors.

Grab the orange orb and head west. Go across the invisible bridge to be launched down to an area below. After your elevator lands at the bottom, head south to go through a pipe leading to a Moon Ancestor.

After you use the white orb to shoot into the green orb and hit the diamond to the left, you will launch yourself to an area where you must change the white orb’s position to go forward. Before doing that, jump out of the orb, grab the white orb, and go through this passageway above the teleporter. Take it to the middle of the arena and four crystals will appear around you. Shoot them in this order to gain the ability to free the Moon Ancestor: up, down, left, right.

After retrieving the orange orb, you will travel inside it with the white orb to shoot the diamond to the right. After you take the lift over to a new area, use the teleporter to jump out and grab the green orb. Go back and phase-shift to the top to find the Moon Ancestor.

In this area, take both the white and green orbs to the large door north of the lift that brought you to this area. Place both and the door will open. Go inside and continue along the path until you find a teleporter that will bring you out of the white orb. Pick up the white orb and take it west to place it on a lift. Walk down the stairs to find a switch to make the lift float to the left. When the white orb is on the left side, go back through the door to find that teleporter again and jump out. Take the passageway north to find the Moon Ancestor.

After getting a drone, you will maneuver past a drone trap. Immediately after this section, there is a funnel to the north that is obscured by the cliffs in this area. Drop the green orb down here and run back to the transporter. Jump through to find the game’s green orb and the last Moon Ancestor.
