Sarah Morgan is one of the earliest companions you will have in Starfield. Being a dedicated member of Constellation, she wants to discover all kinds of mysteries surrounding outer space and will work alongside you on your journey if you let her. However, if you are not careful, you can upset her and put a halt to any relationship progress you were trying to make. Here are some reasons Sarah Morgan can be mad at you in Starfield.

Why is Sarah Morgan mad in Starfield?

Like any person, Sarah Morgan in Starfield has a set of likes and dislikes. As she is a devoted Constellation member, when you do things that favor the faction, she really likes that stuff. She is interested in new discoveries and scientific things. However, if you attack friendly faction members, pickpocket and steal from people, and some other actions, she will have a negative reaction.

You need to be careful of who you fight with and how much stealing you do in front of Sarah when she is your companion in Starfield. For example, if you steal a weapon, give it to her, and assign it as her weapon, she will instantly be upset with you. Even though she will help you in combat, she doesn’t want to fight everyone she comes across.

Some people are calling the way that Sarah Morgan gets mad at you so easily a bug, and maybe there is a bit of truth to that. If you haven’t been stealing anything or killing friendly people, and she blows up with you out of nowhere, we recommend loading a recent save to when she wasn’t upset with you. Watch what you do and look for notifications that she didn’t like your actions. People have been reporting the Rescue Barrett mission in particular seems to set her off for no reason, so avoid having her with you on that quest. If you do not see anything, leave her at the lodge and go somewhere to wait for 24 hours in-game time. Return to her, and she should no longer be mad at you.
