Foamstars is indeed a PlayStation-exclusive game. When the game releases, it will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Thanks to this, those who are on either system will be able to play online together. Unfortunately, those who are on other systems like Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, or Nintendo Switch, will not be able to play Foamstars when it launches.
The exclusivity of the game was confirmed on the official Square Enix website for the game as well as in multiple trailers. Foamstars will also be available as a PlayStation Plus monthly title. This means that as long as you have PlayStation Plus, you will be able to download Foamstars for free without needing to buy it as long as you add it to your library before the end of the month.
Other information shared about Foamstars includes backgrounds, weapons, and bubble beastie names of the characters as well as information about the different game modes. At launch, there will be eight characters to choose from and three different game modes. The game modes include Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and Rubber Duck Party.
