The auto-vault system has become somewhat of a joke in the months since Helldivers 2 was released. This is because the system seems to work when you don’t want it to and doesn’t work when you need it to. Case in point, players tend to jump over resupply pods instead of grabbing the ammo while their character refuses to climb certain small rocks. Thanks to this, the community has been asking for a change. Luckily, it seems one could be coming soon as one of the Helldivers 2 community managers has responded to a comment about the auto-vault system.
In a recent post on the Helldivers 2 Discord server, one user asked, “Could we get an option to turn off the autoclimb?” Helldivers 2 community manager responded by saying “We’re looking and possibly tweaking the way auto vault works in the near future.” This is exciting news for those who regularly play the game and join the fight for democracy.

Helldivers 2 has received many updates since it was released with small fixes getting handled as well as bigger updates tackling more important issues. There are also some highly requested features being worked on such as liberation rates and implementing supply lines into the galactic map. When it comes to the auto-vault system, there is no guarantee that it will be worked on in the next update but it should be getting a patch relatively soon. We know that something is coming soon as Twinbeard also teased in a post that they’ve “picked up rumours in the outer rim saying something is coming.”

This announcement could be the rumored Illuminate faction that was recently leaked but this update could also include some serious quality-of-life updates such as the autclimb rework. We will have to see as the update gets closer to its release.
