Gameloft finally unveiled the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update and there was a lot, to say the least. A new villager, a new Star Path, and even a new shop were announced. Unfortunately, while people love that Daisy Duck will finally make it to the valley, a fair number of residents don’t like her boutique. Some have even said that they wish the multiplayer addition could be more like that found in Animal Crossing. This isn’t a good sign since the update hasn’t even been released yet.
Reddit user GreyDove14 posted about the boutique announcement by saying, “Is anyone else feeling lukewarm about the way the Boutique is going to work with Touch of Magic fashion designs? There are so many designs I’ve seen here on Reddit that I’d love to try, but I hate to bother the creator of them by having to do a whole Valley Visit and coordinate that just to get the design.” They went on to mention that the multiplayer feature should be treated more like the design portion of Animal Crossing by using QR codes to download designs.
One user agreed by saying, “I’m really not a fan of needing to actually valley visit to share designs. Killed my enthusiasm for the feature pretty quickly honestly. Especially with how clunky it is to even visit people.” Another user said, “I’m not interested in any of this multiplayer content. Tbh I’m getting annoyed that these buildings and items MUST be placed in our main valley, even when we don’t want to use them”
It seems that most are in agreeance that they don’t really care for the multiplayer of Dreamlight Valley as it stands now. Multiple users commented saying that they would love crossplay features and an online catalog so that they can download creations made by those on different platforms. Whether these features happen in the future is yet to be determined.
