Stratagem Hero is a great reference to the old-school DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) games in Helldivers 2. Of course, being an easter egg means that you don’t get to use it. For the months that Helldivers 2 has been released, players have wondered what it would be like to play Stratagem Hero. Well, some players have gotten together and are asking Arrowhead to grant them access to this glorious arcade cabinet in exchange of for the mountain of extra Req Slips they have lying around.
Cowboy_shaman posted a proposition on Reddit to allow players to use this machine in exchange for 50,000 Requisition Slips. While that amount of Req Slips is a bit high, it did spark interest in many who also want access to this arcade cabinet. With all this interest, we think we might have found a great means of allowing players access to this game.
One user commented, “You should be able to play one round for 5k Req Slips, just like an arcade game, insert slips and get a life.” This sparked interest from many who replied by saying things like “Somebody promote him!” The input did not stop there as another user commented, “Make it a ship module. The first level is stratagem hero, the second level is a jukebox, the third is four-player stratagem hero, and the fourth level is a hunter-themed version of Duck Hunt called Duck! Hunter!”
We personally like the idea of unlocking various minigames using Req Slips. After all, what else is there to spend our hard-earned currencies on when you have already bought all of the upgrades? We have mentioned in the past the need for more social options in Helldivers 2. One of the many options Arrowhead could add is the ability to customize your ship with various mini-games that you and your friends can play in between missions. Now that Pilestedt will be more focused on the game, perhaps new features such as this will finally come to light.
