Arrowhead is a successful studio but sometimes people need a reminder as to how small the company is compared to heavy hitters like Activision or Bethesda. Recently, a public service announcement was made, confirming that Arrowhead is working on fixing the bugs but it might take a while. Many in the community understand that the devs are overworked and some even wish the devs would slow down.
User SmokuZnadPotoku recently shared a post from one of the Helldivers community managers reminding players of the size of Arrowhead’s team. The post lets everyone know that Arrowhead “has dedicated QA [Quality Assurance]” and that the “people fixing bugs with weapons are the same people in charge of making new weapons and armor.”
The community was quick to defend Arrowhead, showing respect for all the work they have done to keep the game going over the last two months. Previously, players suggested that Arrowhead “skip a Warbond” and focus on the known issues at hand. The community manager reminded everyone that they want to stick to the promise of “one warbond per month” and that they are equally focused on fixing the “glaring bugs and technical issues.”
Many responded to the post showing their support for Arrowhead and all the work the developer has done. Some even pointed out how hiring new workers at this stage would decrease productivity due to onboarding and recruiting.
A recent poll on the official Helldivers Discord server shows that a large chunk of fans agree that there should be a pause on new content to fix the technical issues. At the time of writing this, 28% of the players who responded to the poll favor Arrowhead taking a break from content to focus on making the game run as smoothly as possible. No matter your take on it, one thing is certain, Arrowhead has a small team dedicated to content and fixing issues so give the developers the time they need to make everything work.
