The Illuminate have been teased by Helldivers 2 leakers for a long time. The faction first appeared in the game’s files earlier this year before being removed. Since then, we have seen images of the faction’s enemies, word of additional planets, and more. With there being a massive discovery of the Illuminate again being in the game’s files, a notable leaker released images of upcoming objectives we could see when the Illuminate arrive in Helldivers 2. Recently, we have seen some major leaks for Helldivers 2. One of the latest leaks is a list of unreleased objectives that we could see added in the future. We have also seen just what the DSS might be capable of after a few updates. Now, we are getting another list of objectives except this time they are all focused on the Illuminate.
What Helldivers 2 Illuminate objectives were revealed?
There are several Illuminate objectives for Helldivers 2 that were leaked from one labeled “the artifact,” to one labeled “neuro perversion device.” Each of these objectives was revealed in a post by popular leaker IronS1ghts. Here is everything IronS1ghts had to say about the leaked objectives:
- The Artifact
- “Your goal is to collect and extract with an Illuminate artifact.”
- “The Artifact can take damage and become unstable, causing it to implode.”
- Dark Fluid Harvester
- “This device is used to extract Dark Fluid.”
- “Not entirely sure how the objective will work, but you will be able to stumble upon a destroyed version of these on the ground.”
- Energy Core Harvester
- “This device will be used to harvest energy from the core of a planet.”
- “It has three layers of shields and a weak-point at the center.”
- “It has multiple gravity-based push/pull attacks, along with a “Force Choke” ability.”
- “It is absolutely massive.”
- Dark Fluid Research Station
- “Don’t know much info about this one.”
- Illuminate Rituals
- “Illuminate Summoners will engage in various “Rituals” that you have to interrupt.”
- “During these rituals, illuminate will be trying to activate “underground ancient forces”.”
- “Upon interrupting a ritual, a large earthquake will occur.”
- Illuminate Proto-Droid
- “We appear to be tasked with escorting a”Proto-Illuminate” to an extraction shuttle.”
- “This illuminate is capable of some basic self-defense attacks, such as firing lightning, and shooting a small beam.”
- Neuro Perversion Device
- “May be used in conjunction with the “MindScramble” and “Hallucination” Status Effects.”
Other objectives that don’t have much information include the Illuminate Power Node and the Illuminate Base Module. There is currently no information about these additional objectives but it does seem that the Illuminate will be full of surprises when they finally make their appearance. Speaking of which, it is hypothesized that the Illuminate will appear at some point within the next three months.
