A Palworld player has discovered a glitch that makes the Black Marketeer sell himself. That’s right, in a bizarre twist of fate, one of the Black Marketeers has been sold to himself after a successful catch. The poor merchant has officially paid for all the Pals he has captured. What we can’t figure out is, where does the merchant go? Does he still exist in some alternate dimension or has he moved on to the Great Pal Island in the sky?
If you haven’t met the Black Marketeers yet in Palworld, they are special merchants hidden away in caves that sell illegal Pals. These merchants don’t shy away from purchasing humans that you capture and will pay you top-dollar for Alphas and Lucky Pals. While they may seem creepy, they are harmless as long as you don’t attack them.
Reddit user zerotheskull recently made the Black Marketeer stand in some fires to whittle down his health so they could catch him. During a successful catch, zerotheskull interacted with the merchant, bringing up the sell menu. It is here that you get to witness the merchant get added to the inventory list. With the list still active, the Reddit user sold the Black Marketeer to himself. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the merchant valued his own life since he was only willing to pay 3,750 gold for himself.
Outside of making a Black Marketeer sell himself, there have been a large number of glitches found in Palworld. Everything from an infinite item glitch to a means of catching the tower bosses has been discovered. Thankfully, the devs have been handling the glitches as best they can. This is just another glitch to add to the list to cover so all the Black Marketeets don’t sell themselves in the future. Also, does this work on normal merchants? We better test it.
