Every single Zelda fan has been waiting very (im)patiently for Tears of the Kingdom to come out. With that in mind, some have coped with the waiting a little differently than others. For example, one particular Reddit user has drawn a unique comic each day over the past 900 days.
A user going by the name theDuckPancake has a very long list of comics on r/Breath_of_the_Wild that are truly unique if nothing else. The series is called Drawing Badly until TotK, and yeah, they definitely seem to be comics that are whipped up in Microsoft Paint if we had to guess based on the style. Below is the very first one posted years ago, with the latest one today following it.
We definitely don’t have the time to go through every single one of DuckPancake’s comics, but we can appreciate the time investment and creativity it takes to make so many unique drawings every single day. Their stories have been going so long that they are older than the official name for Tears of the Kingdom. When they started, it was merely known as “the sequel to Breath of the Wild.”
We would say there has been a nice community reaction to the long run of comics. The official Reddit Twitter account even tweeted out a recent Drawing Badly comic of Ganondorf.
Luckily, we are now just a week away from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releasing, giving DuckPancake a good reason to take a break from what is likely their longest-running project if we had to make a safe guess. You’ve done well, and the finish line is right there, so end on a high note.
