Overwatch 2 Season 13 is coming soon and has a bunch of new content to look into!

Overwatch 2 Season 13 starts next Tuesday, and we now know the big highlight points of the upcoming season. From a new Halloween-themed battle pass with a mythic skin for Widowmaker to PvP map reworks and the return of some PvE talents in a new mode, the game is celebrating the spooky season in a big way. The trailer also features a short tease at the next hero coming in Season 14 at the end. Here is everything you need to know about it.

Battle Pass and Spellbinder Widowmaker Mythic Skin

Starting off with the Overwatch 2 Season 13 battle pass content, Widowmaker is the main headlining skin this season. Spellbinder begins by giving Amelie an innocent potions student look, but as you purchase higher levels with Mythic Prisms, you see her take a turn toward a dark arts master. The battle pass will also feature new skins for Ana, Junker Queen, Sigma, Sojourn, and Torbjorn. New shop skins for Winston, Mercy, Tracer, Symmetra, Kiriko, Illari, and Ashe will be available throughout the month, and a Soldier: 76 mythic weapon skin is coming in November.

New Halloween PvP Mode – Junkenstein’s Laboratory

When Overwatch 2 Season 13 starts next week, a new PvP mode will be playable in Arcade until November 4. Junkenstein’s Laboratory is a Team Deathmatch mode, but it features mutations that bring back some of the talent abilities that were being worked on for what Overwatch 2 PvE was originally imagined to be. Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride will also return, but will not be bringing new content.

Talents were canceled a long time ago, and now the presumed canceled story will fade off into memory as you use abilities that were meant to be part of a special skills tree. Things like Genji shooting out air slashes when in his ultimate and Reinhardt’s Fire Strike leaving behind a trail of lava on the ground. We imagine the April Fool’s mode has shown us some of these canceled talents before, but it’s cool to see more of the moves come back from the dead, if even for a couple of weeks. You can take this time to sit back and imagine what could have been.

Map Reworks

Wrapping up the big news from Overwatch 2 Season 13, four current maps are getting reworked in pretty big areas.

  • Circuit Royale is getting a bunch of new rooms added that should give the attacking team more flanking and high-ground opportunities.
  • Dorado has new ways to access high ground outside of the attacker’s first spawn and the middle building on the second point. Some more cover has been given in spots, too.
  • Havana has a lot of layout changes done to a few spawn rooms, the outside of the castle has been adjusted, and the high point on the first point has had new windows installed.
  • Numbani has a bunch of new ways to access high ground for attackers outside of their first spawn. The stairs and building behind the first point have been heavily changed. There is a new entryway to the upstairs building behind the second point.

We heard quite a while ago that these maps were going to be getting reworked instead of a new map being added this season, so hopefully, these changes will help bring new life to these locales.
