With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom quickly approaching, it is fair to say that plenty of people are eagerly anticipating the release of what is, undoubtedly, one of the most exciting video game releases this year. Following last week’s trailer, which revealed a lot of new information about the game, a fan on Reddit has posted some great-looking animated pixel art of Ganondorf.

If you like the art above so much, you can download it for yourself for free. It’s a simple retrace of the original Nintendo art, but it still looks quite good, especially when seen animated. The artist M.H.Bali also made a similar animated pixel image of Link from art from Tears of the Kingdom. We like it so much that we have been using it as our phone unlock screen for months now.

Needless to say, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has had its hooks in us ever since that trailer showed up a week ago. Of course, we were already chomping at the bit to learn anything about the Breath of the Wild sequel, but seeing Ganondorf make his return to the series for the first time in over a decade is something that has raised our hype to another level.

While that trailer showed us plenty of new footage, questions are still aplenty surrounding the game and Ganondorf’s situation in particular. Why was this version of the demon king “rehydrated,” as people call it? How connected is he to the Zonai? The countdown is slowly running out, and we can’t wait to play.
