With IO Interactive taking on a game with James Bond, a lot of people are wondering when the 007 First Light release date is.

007 First Light is the first James Bond video game to come out in a very long time. With that time comes a lot of heightened expectations, and the makers of the Hitman games seem like the perfect fit to bring it back.

After a very long wait, we finally know when the game is set to come out. Here is the 007 First Light release date.

What is the 007 First Light Release Date?

The 007 First Light release date is currently set for March 27, 2026.

Usually these days, video games don’t get hard release dates set when they are pretty far away. Delays are very disappointing for everyone involved, whether you are talking about excited players or the development team. With 007 First Light set to come out at the start of spring, there isn’t much competition set in stone around it as of this writing. Even Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to take over the gaming world next year, isn’t coming out until May at the earliest. With that in mind, March seems like a great time for 007 First Light to come out.

007 First Light Pre-Order Info

While the release date info for 007 First Light is definitely the more exciting news given at the State of Play gameplay reveal, we also now know the content you get with the game if you pre-order.

While the game is set to come out on March 27, 2026, if you pre-order digitally now, you will get upgraded to the deluxe edition for free. This will let you get access to the game 24 hours earlier on March 26 and will come with the following cosmetics:

  • Gleaming Pack, which turns various items gold
  • Four outfits for James Bond, including:
    • Captain suit
    • Casual wear
    • Turtleneck sweater
    • Skeleton suit
  • A pistol skin

The video only states that the deluxe upgrade is free for “now,” which likely means that following its release, the cosmetics will either have a price attached to them or will no longer be available. Given that these are fairly basic skins for the most part, and the 24-hour early access has limited value, we wouldn’t say that these will be big sellers.
