In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, you have a decent number of weapons to try out, with each of them requiring upgrades if you want to make them stronger. Throughout your journey, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your weapons to a maximum of +10, making them stronger and allowing you to deal more damage to your opponents. Of course, you can’t just buy the upgrades. Instead, you will need to work for them by obtaining specific items. Let’s break down how to upgrade your weapons in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

If you want to upgrade your weapons in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, you will first need to unlock the upgrade nodes via the Impetus Repository. Each of the nodes leading up to a weapon upgrade node, like the one in the image above, will cost you Red Mercury to unlock. As you unlock more nodes, you will level up, causing additional nodes to cost more.

You will notice that weapon upgrade nodes do not cost Red Mercury. Instead, you will need to spend Feathers to unlock these. These Feather items come in three variants: Faint Red Feathers, Brilliant Red Feathers, and Radiant Red Feathers.

How to get Red Feathers in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Red Feather items can be obtained from enemies throughout the game. As you progress through your journey, you will find some tough enemies. These will typically drop Red Feathers items, with them dropping higher value ones the further you get in the game.

At first, these enemies will drop Faint Red Feathers, but they will eventually start dropping Brilliant and Radiant Feathers. You can also find these items on the ground throughout the game. They typically appear as purple-colored items, though the purple color can also signify other rare items such as spells, healing items, and more.
