After eight long years of waiting since the first teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed, we have finally received a second trailer, along with a name. The next game in the series will be titled The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. This reveal came with a one-minute-long trailer with a lot of sand. In fact, the entire trailer is almost completely composed of sand blowing away before slowly revealing the name. Of course, with the internet being the internet, it only took this minute-long trailer to spark a theory about when the release date will be.
November 11, 2027 is Apparently The Elder Scrolls VI Release Date
Despite there being statements from Jason Schreier about The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel release being over two years away, and there being no official release date announcement from Bethesda, fans have crafted a theory about when the release date will be. It is important to note that desperate fans do this frequently, as many did this exact same thing each time Rockstar shared images of GTA VI.
As shared by ItsJabo over on X, the Elder Scrolls VI SubReddit has gone full conspiracy mode thanks to the Sentinel trailer. In a post on the SubReddit, one user stated, “In the name reveal trailer shown today, when the title Sentinel appeared, it did so with a visual effect on the rings cutting around the title. There were exactly 11.”
The user went on to say, “The title fully appears with a sound effect and a glimmer at the 0:38-second mark. The video is 1:05 seconds long, with the above appearing exactly 27 seconds before the video ends.”
They also shared an image of the lines intersecting the word Sentinel with various glimmers. The rest of the post reads, “At the time stamp 0:38: 3 + 8 = 11. Seconds left: 27. This arrives at a date of 11/11/27, a Thursday, and an iconic release date that Skyrim and Starfield had.”
The fan-favorite game Skyrim was indeed released on November 11, 2011. Meanwhile, Starfield was released on September 6, 2023. However, its original release date was set for November 11, 2022, and was delayed to September. While Bethesda does seem to prefer that date, and it is possible that Sentinel could be released on November 11, it does not guarantee that it will be released next year.
