Players in Disney Dreamlight Valley have figured out how to create tattoos using motifs. Have you always wanted to give your DDV character some fresh ink? Unfortunately, this isn’t something you can do in Dreamlight Valley. At least, you can’t do it yet. Fans have found a way to cheat the system though and create what appear to be tattoos.

Tattoos are a highly requested addition to Disney Dreamlight Valley. So much so that there is an entire Reddit thread dedicated to it. Luckily, if you want to create your own fresh ink, there is a way to do it…kind of. This guide will show you how to create tattoos using motifs in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to create tattoos in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you want to create tattoos in Disney Dreamlight Valley, start by creating a new shirt. Enter the clothing menu and select the customize option. From there, select add new and then select the long-sleeved turtleneck option. You can also get away with the long-sleeved gown or even the plain t-shirt depending on the style you want.

From this point on, you need to get creative. Set the shirt color to a skin tone that matches your character’s skin closely. There aren’t a ton of colors so this might not work as well depending on the tone you chose. Once that is done, use the different shapes and symbols to create the type of shirt you want. After that is done, use the character motifs on the shirt where the skin tone color is.

You will want to stick with line art mostly as that will look the most like tattoos but you can choose whichever motifs you want. The images will appear like tattoos on your character. Since there are no official tattoos in the game yet, this is the only means of actually creating tattoos for your character’s body. Hopefully, the devs will add more customization options soon.
